Technologists

Nebraska Medicine - Radiology technologists are experts in the operation of our advanced imaging technology. They have completed as many as four years of formal training and have studied human physiology, anatomy, chemistry and other pertinent subjects.

In addition to their expertise with technologically advanced equipment, they bring genuine caring to their work with your patients. Each patient’s comfort is a priority at Nebraska Medicine - Radiology and is also critical to obtain clear, precise imaging studies.

The skill and sensitivity of our technologists provides the patient experience that should be expected in a radiology practice. These qualities ultimately produce unsurpassed imaging studies critical for confident radiological diagnoses.

Nurses

Nurses often assist with more complex radiology procedures, particularly those that require intravenous medication, contrast, or sedation. Our nurses assess and document the status of interventional and diagnostic radiology patients, and help make all patients feel at ease during their time here at Nebraska Medicine - Radiology.

Medical Physicists

Our medical physicists ensure accurate and safe performance of radiological studies. They work together with the radiology team to plan the most effective and accurate protocols while ensuring safe radiation doses that are as low as reasonably possible. They also monitor the performance of our radiological equipment and conduct research to develop new imaging technologies.

Dosimetrists

Our dosimetrists collaborate with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to calculate precise radiation doses.
