Summary
Primary Objective 1. To examine the efficacy of BMX-001 as a normal tissue radioprotector on reduction of acute toxicity of SCRT or LCCRT as part of Total Neoadjuvant Therapy (TNT) (TNT=SCRT or LCCRT plus 5 14-day cycles of FOLFOX prior and 4 14-day cycles of FOLFOX after OR 3 21-day cycles of CAPOX prior and 3 21-day cycles of CAPOX after) followed by cancer surgery for newly diagnosed locally advanced rectal cancer patients.
