Rehabilitation for Children

Specialized Physical Therapy for Infants and Children

Using age-appropriate therapeutic play activities and exercise, as well as hands-on treatment, our therapists strive to combat the effects of injuries and developmental delays, as well as maximize gross, fine motor and mobility skills. While a therapist will spend direct one-on-one time with your child during the treatment session, one of our primary treatment goals is parent and caregiver education, so that children can continue the rehabilitation process at home as frequently and often as possible. Some of the common conditions treated include:

  • Torticollis
  • Post-transplant (liver, small bowel, pancreas) rehabilitation
  • General deconditioning, often following prolonged hospital stays
  • Post-surgical rehabilitation
  • Burn rehabilitation and management
  • Solid tumor and blood disorders including hemophilia
  • Balance impairments clumsiness
  • Toe-walking
  • Traumatic brain injury
