Benign, or noncancerous blood disorders can impact your life daily. Diseases like sickle cell and hemophilia are lifelong conditions that can be painful and require ongoing treatment. Not all patients with blood disorders have symptoms or need complex care. Nebraska Medicine hematologists have the experience and knowledge to deliver the most comprehensive care in the region.
Some of the conditions we treat include:
- Bleeding disorders such as hemophilia, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) and von Willebrand disease
- Blood clotting disorders such as thrombophilia and thrombotic thrombocytosis
- Red blood cell disorders such as anemia, sickle cell disease, thalassemia
- White blood cell disorders such as leukocytosis and leukopenia
- Platelet disorders such as thrombocytopenia and thrombocytosis
Our blood disorder specialists work with a shared goal in mind to manage your symptoms and improve your quality of life.
