Megan Arthur, MD, and Jennifer Adams, MD, see patients with all types of porphyria and are trained in placement of Scenesse, an implanted device that delivers Scenesse (afamelanotide) to increase pain free light exposure to the sun and light in adults with a confirmed diagnosis of Erythropoietic Protoporphyria (EPP).
EPP is a condition in which patients have an increased phototoxicity to sunlight and artificial light sources.
