The University Health Center, located on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus, is a full-service clinic that serves students, faculty, staff and community members.* Participation with most insurances makes the health center an affordable option. There is no additional charge for services covered by student fees. UHC offers convenient appointments available around student schedules and easy billing to students’ university consolidated bills. This location opened on July 10, 2018 and offers a:

  • Convenient pharmacy location – The pharmacy is located on the first level directly inside the west entrance. Its easy access ensures patients can be in and out in no time
  • Physical therapy pool and gym – The new physical therapy space features a warm water SwimEx therapy pool to help patients increase their range of motion and strength. The adjoining gymnasium includes an expanded capacity for personal treatment equipment and a turf strip for simulated running
  • Zen room – Students can relax with guided meditation and relaxation resources in this room, located on the first level inside the Health Promotion and Outreach area. Warm colors and a natural environment with foliage welcome visitors to this quiet oasis
  • Wellness kitchen – Specializing in easy and healthy cooking for college students, the wellness kitchen offers small-group nutrition education opportunities
  • Convenient check-in desk – The main check-in desk for most medical and mental health services is centrally located on the second level and easy to find. It was designed with efficiency and patient privacy in mind
  • Consolidated Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) area – The CAPS team is now located in one central location on the second level of the new building, allowing for easier access and staff collaboration. Previously, staff had been spread out across campus due to limited space at the current location
  • Medical clinic pod design – The new clinic area groups exam rooms into three pods with staff access from centralized collaborative spaces. Not only does this allow for more frequent interactions among medical clinic staff, but also enhances patient privacy with less foot traffic. The pods are designed in a flexible layout and size to allow for easy transition of space if future needs change
  • Spacious dental clinic – More than doubling the number of exam rooms, the new dental space allows the team to care for more patients than ever before

  • Continue onto I-180 S/US-34
  • Take the W Cornhusker Highway exit
  • Keep left at the fork and merge onto Cornhusker Highway
  • Take the 14th Street exit toward State Fair Park/W Entrance
  • Turn right onto N Antelope Valley Parkway
  • Turn right onto S Street
  • Turn right onto N. 19th Street
  • The building is on the right

 

From Nebraska Union:

  • Walk east on R Street
  • Continue onto N. 19th Street

PARKING

Patient parking is available at the meters along N. 19th Street and in the marked patient parking lot on the north side of the health center. Patients will be ticketed for parking in other locations.
