The Nebraska Medicine Heart and Vascular Genetics Clinic provides cardiovascular genetic testing and counseling services for patients with genetic disease. The first step towards successful therapy is understanding your disease. An accurate diagnosis aids in providing effective treatment now, as well as appropriate preventative and screening measures. What to expect during your first visit

During your first visit, most patients will meet with both the doctor and genetic counselor. We will conduct a careful review of your past medical and family history. Coming prepared with details of your family history will help you get the most out of your appointment. Your provider will have reviewed available clinical information and will discuss diagnosis and next steps in your care.
