Health care designed for your convenience
We’ve all been there: a sick kid on the weekend, a hectic morning with a nagging sore throat, or a weird symptom that might be a thing? But it also might not be a thing.
This year has been tough, but it also triggered a lot of awesome innovation.
We now offer three types of telehealth visits:
E-Visits
E-Visits are just questionnaires about how you’re feeling. After you fill out the questionnaire and submit it, the information is sent to a health care provider to review. They’ll take a look and provide treatment recommendations or other appropriate next steps. If you suspect you might have some early COVID-19 symptoms, E-Visits are a great way to get a doctor’s opinion without taking up too much of your time.
Video Visits
These are prescheduled Zoom video visits. If you’re not comfortable coming into the office or just don’t have time for the drive, ask if you can schedule a video visit. Or just schedule an appointment on your own through the Nebraska Medicine app. Video visits can be scheduled with both primary care doctors and specialists.
Immediate Care Video Visits
If you get sick after business hours, don’t worry. You can connect with a local health care provider through an Immediate Care Video Visit for quick evaluation and treatment without leaving your house. You can start an Immediate Care Video Visit from the Nebraska Medicine app, or the One Chart | Patient desktop portal.
Not sure if your condition can be properly addressed via telehealth? Check this handy chart to see which visit type is best for 25+ common health conditions.
A One Chart | Patient account is required to access all three of these visit types. If you’re already a patient, you can sign up for a One Chart | Patient account here. If you’re not a patient yet, call 800.922.0000 to make your first appointment. Once you’re an established patient, you can use all of these tools too.
Don’t forget about Immediate Care Clinics
If you’re not quite sure about this telehealth stuff, and would prefer a convenient option that involves seeing a health care provider in-person, don’t sweat. That’s where our Immediate Care Clinics come in.
Our Immediate Care Clinics provide high-quality care for the same price as a typical doctor’s office visit. We have four Immediate Care Clinic locations that offer after-hours treatment sprinkled throughout the Omaha metropolitan area:
- Bellevue Health Center Immediate Care Clinic
- Chalco Health Center Immediate Care Clinic
- Eagle Run Health Center Immediate Care Clinic
- Midtown Health Center Immediate Care Clinic
These four clinics are open evenings, weekends and holidays. Walk-ins are encouraged.
The best part: If you’re worried about the wait, we now publish real-time wait times at NebraskaMed.com/Wait, and in the Nebraska Medicine app.
To find wait times in the Nebraska Medicine app:
- Select the "Find Care" icon, found centered at the bottom of the app.
- Select the "Find Immediate Care" option at the top of the list.
- From the menu that pops up, select "Find Immediate Care" a second time to view a list of nearby clinics and wait times.
