Preparing for your telehealth visit

  1. Set up your One Chart | Patient account: If you don’t have one yet, sign up here.
  2. Prepare your device
  3. Complete eCheck-In before your appointment: eCheck-In lets you confirm your insurance, current medications allergies and more.
  4. Log in early: Log in up to 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment for the best experience.

Video visit instructions

If you do not have a One Chart | Patient account, please create one before following the instructions below. 

From your computer:

  1. Visit One Chart | Patient on your home computer and log in to your account.
  2. Select the “Visits” button at the top of the screen.
  3. Under "Upcoming Visits," find the "Home Call Telehealth" visit. Click on the "Details" button to the right of the visit information.
  4. Click the “Join video visit” button to let the provider know you are ready.
    1. If you do not see the button, it is too early to start the visit. You can log in to your visit 10 minutes before your appointment time to let the rooming process start.
    2. Please note that you may be asked to complete the eCheck-In before joining a video visit. Select “Start eCheck-In” from the notice at the top of the Appointments page. Follow the prompts before joining your video visit.
  5. Wait for your provider to join.
    1. You may be asked to allow access to your camera and microphone. Please select “Continue” then “Allow.”
    2. You can preview the video, update your display name and test your hardware if needed before joining.

From your phone or tablet:

  1. If you don't already have it installed, download the Nebraska Medicine app.
  2. Open the Nebraska Medicine app
  3. Log in with your One Chart | Patient account if you aren’t already logged in
  4. Select “Begin visit” from your home dashboard. If you don’t see this, select “Visits” at the top of your screen, find your appointment and then select “Join video visit.”
    1. If you do not see the button, it is too early to start the visit. You can log in to your visit 10 minutes before your appointment time to let the rooming process start.
    2. Please note that you may be asked to complete the eCheck-In before joining a video visit. Select “Start eCheck-In” from the notice at the top of the Appointments screen. Follow the prompts before joining your video visit.

E-Visit instructions

E-Visits are an easy way to get in touch with a health care provider when you don’t have time to make an actual appointment.

An E-Visit is an online series of questions. The questions and your answers will be sent to a doctor for review. All E-Visits receive a response within 24 hours – except the Skin Concern E-Visit – which may take up to three business days.

From the Nebraska Medicine app:

  1. If you haven’t already, download the Nebraska Medicine app.
  2. Open the Nebraska Medicine app.
  3. Log in with your One Chart | Patient account if you aren’t already logged in.
  4. Select the "More" icon in the bottom right corner.
  5. Select "E-Visit" from the list of options.
  6. Accept the terms and conditions.
  7. Complete the series of questions.
  8. Review and confirm the information prior to submitting.
  9. You’ll receive a response from a health care provider who has reviewed the information submitted.

From the One Chart | Patient desktop portal:

  1. Visit the One Chart | Patient portal web page and log in. 
  2. Select the "Your Menu" in the upper left hand corner.
  3. Select "E-Visit" from the list of options.
  4. Accept the terms and conditions.
  5. Complete the series of questions.
  6. Review and confirm the information prior to submitting.
  7. You’ll receive a response from a health care provider who has reviewed the information submitted.
