How can I find mental health support?
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and the COVID-19 pandemic has only heightened the awareness of and need for mental health support. Nebraska Medicine offers numerous mental health resources, including an intensive outpatient program focused on helping individuals struggling with psychiatric disorders and substance use. We also have clinical psychology and psychiatric care options with specialties in geriatric mental health, reproductive psychiatry and addiction services.
Knowing where to begin to seek help can be confusing and overwhelming; luckily, our Behavioral Health Connection referral line (402.836.9292) is here to help. This line connects individuals with the right resources to meet their mental health needs. Anyone can call our Behavioral Health Connection line, and our experts will work, free of charge, to help you identify and get into the right program to meet your or your loved one's needs. This referral line helps individuals connect with mental health and other supports (e.g., housing, transportation, food) and is a great place to start when you aren't sure where to begin.
